Cancer costs - senior couple worrying over medical bills

For the latest information on list of hospitals and current news on other colon cancer topics, please accept a free weekly subscription to the CCR Newsletter.

If you are struggling with cancer, you are probably frightened and dont know where to turn. What you need is a list of hospitals that specialize in treating cancer so that you can get the very best treatment medicine has to offer. You also need to find a list of hospitals fast so you can get treatment before the cancer grows further.

The good news is that this article will provide you with a list of hospitals that are the best in the country when it comes to cancer care. You will be treated well at any one of these hospitals and will have the best cancer treatment.

So how do you choose a hospital from a list of hospitals?

  • You should look for one that is close to your location so you wont have to travel so far for cancer treatment.
  • If you must travel, look for hospitals that have places for you to stay when you receive cancer treatment.
  • Above all, look at the list of hospitals and find a hospital that specializes in your type of cancer.

Some hospitals are really good at colon cancer but not so much at leukemia. Others in the list of hospitals will be doing research in breast cancer and will have excellent doctors and researchers on breast cancer there.

Research!

You need to make sure your insurance covers the hospital you picked from the list of hospitals. You can do this by contacting the hospital or contacting your insurance company. If you have Medicare, find out if the hospital takes Medicare patients.

Find out who is on the staff of these hospitals. The list of hospitals can be used as a starting point to look up the hospital on the internet and to find out who works there. There could be a national specialist in your kind of cancer at one of these hospitals. The list of hospitals will direct you to where you need to look on the Internet.

When you find a possible hospital, talk to the admissions department. Find out if you can get a consult with a doctor right away or if you have to wait. It is, evidently not a good idea to wait if you have cancer and need treatment. You should be able to get in right away at any good cancer hospital.

The list of hospitals shows the top 25 hospitals in the country. You might live near another good hospital, such as a University hospital that is not on the list. Youll need to weigh in the factors of location with the factors of excellence. The university hospital might be good, too.
